How Pebble Partnership Revamped Accounts Payable with Laserfiche

Pebble Limited Partnership (PLP) operates one of the world’s largest-scale copper, gold and molybdenum projects in a remote region of southwestern Alaska. Faced with high-volume accounts payable flowing between field and office, limited on-site resources, and a need to reduce paper and speed approvals, PLP sought a way to streamline AP and integrate document handling with its Microsoft Great Plains accounting system.

PLP implemented Laserfiche integrated with Great Plains—using Import Agent and Snapshot for capture, Quick Fields for automated classification and data lookups, and Workflow for routing, approvals and audit history—plus automated check scanning and GP-driven metadata updates. The result: about $8,300/year saved on postage, paper and storage; 97% of invoices received electronically; invoice processing times cut (telephone invoice processing fell from 14 days to 2); improved remote access and oversight; fewer data errors; and faster, more consistent approvals.
