A Laserfiche Case Study
Loudoun County, VA faced mounting document-management challenges across departments: Family Services handled roughly 200 faxed pages a day, the Commissioner of Revenue received tens of thousands of emails, and many processes relied on manual forwarding and Outlook rules that didn’t scale. To modernize records handling, the county integrated Laserfiche with 19 different systems to reduce paper, automate capture, and centralize access.
Using AutoStore with a polling directory for faxes, IMAP Capture for automated email ingestion, and a Laserfiche SDK integration with the county’s Tyler CAMA application, documents and metadata are now routed and stored automatically. The result: fully paperless fax processing, automatic sorting and saving of large email volumes, instant retrieval by Case ID or parcel, and significantly more efficient, streamlined workflows.
