Linn‑Benton Community College, a large Oregon community college serving over 22,000 students, faced a slow, fragmented transcript evaluation process that relied on paper forms and manual data entry. Evaluations took six to eight weeks, documents were sometimes lost, systems weren’t synchronized, and students received little to no status communication — creating a bottleneck to timely enrollment and degree progress.
By deploying Laserfiche Forms and Workflow, LBCC centralized transcript intake, automated metadata capture and routing, integrated checks with the Banner SIS, and sent automated, status‑specific emails to students. The streamlined one‑to‑one form/transcript flow and priority routing reduced evaluation time to about one week, improved communication and data security, eliminated duplicate work, and freed evaluators to focus on reviews rather than administrative tasks.
