A Laserfiche Case Study
Fresno County implemented Laserfiche and needed to integrate it into daily operations by designing a repository that would make documents easy to search, share, access and archive. The challenge was managing many document types and inconsistent templates and folders—examples include 33 different documents in Property Transfers and an overly broad Exemptions folder that made retrieval slow and inefficient.
By working with end users to identify common fields and consolidate templates and folders, the county created a single Property Transfers template for 33 document types, reused fields like APN across multiple templates, and reorganized folders to be more flexible. These changes reduced processing time, increased volume and efficiency, eliminated redundancies, improved searchability and data consistency, and dramatically sped up document retrieval and customer service.
