Glasgow Credit Union, one of Europe’s largest credit unions, was growing rapidly but relied on paper-heavy, manual loan and onboarding processes that slowed service and limited scalability. Using Laserfiche, the credit union needed a way to improve member experience, support compliance, and keep pace with rising demand while maintaining efficient operations.
Laserfiche implemented records management and business process automation to digitize and centralize loan applications, integrate with existing systems, and create a self-serve digital workflow. The result was major efficiency gains: loan approvals dropped from days to under an hour, new members could join and apply for funds in as little as 15 minutes, the automated process saved more than 150 employee hours per week, and first-year income growth exceeded GBP 1 million.
