Florida League - Customer Case Study

The Florida League of Cities, which represents more than 400 municipalities and provides insurance, legal and policy services to member governments, faced an unsustainable influx of documents as its membership grew. Its legacy document system, Alchemy, became unstable and unable to support 16 departments and 170 employees, so the League sought a stable, scalable enterprise content management solution.

The League implemented Laserfiche ECM and Laserfiche Workflow, reengineering processes across claims and finance by integrating with SQL, Great Plains, CRM and mobile iPads. Results included a retooled workers’ compensation cycle that saved 3,400 labor hours in year one and cut processing from as long as 24 hours to a few hours; the Property & Liability unit now routes 55,000 documents annually and reduced printing costs by 80% (over $9,000); finance automated 800 invoices per month and saved 500+ hours. Today 155 employees use two repositories holding over 10 million pages, reclaiming 700 sq ft and improving collaboration, scalability and customer service.
