Luminus Financial, a Toronto-based credit union with over 6,000 members, needed a way to digitize member documentation after a 2015 merger and improve compliance, audit readiness, and service delivery as it moved toward a more virtual operating model. The organization turned to Laserfiche and its document management and workflow automation capabilities to replace paper-heavy, manual processes.

With Laserfiche, Luminus Financial built automated workflows for member onboarding, wire transfers, and board voting, while centralizing records in a secure repository with searchable metadata. The results included about 1,800 staff hours saved annually from onboarding automation and another 450 hours saved each year from wire transfer processing, along with easier audits, stronger AML support, and faster, more standardized service across the credit union.
