A Laserfiche Case Study
Khan’s SUPA IGA Supermarket Group operates 11 supermarkets across New South Wales with about 800 staff. The company relied on slow, paper-based invoice submission and approval—sometimes requiring 10‑hour drives to deliver documents and passing manila envelopes between finance staff—creating major inefficiencies, poor transparency at head office and high labor costs, a problem made acute when COVID-19 drove a 600% increase in work volume.
Khan’s implemented Laserfiche ECM to digitize records, automate invoice workflows and add reporting/analytics: invoices are scanned at stores, routed and approved automatically, and exported to Attache for real‑time processing and reconciliation (including Metcash matching). The change cut manual processing by up to four days, recovered an FTE, improved inventory control and supplier relationships, enhanced health and safety by removing physical paperwork, and delivered about AUD$280,000 in annual savings (including AUD$40,000 from reconciliation).
