Avis Fleet Services was struggling with the costs, delays and errors of a paper-based filing system—missing documents, duplicate copies across departments and slow access for regional offices. These issues hampered transaction processing and customer response times across seven departments.
By implementing a central Laserfiche repository with Web Access and custom Workflow integrations to its AS/400 Fleet Management System, Avis automated scanning, metadata verification, archival and departmental routing. The solution (used by 183 users) enabled searchable archives tied to fleet data, automated accounts‑receivable bundling and electronic delivery, and a customer upload portal for fines—raising productivity, increasing daily transaction throughput without adding staff, and improving remote office access and customer service.
