Why a New Pet Food Brand Identified Lascom’s PLM as a .Key Competitive Asset for CustomerSatisfaction

Petsource, the pet food ingredient subsidiary created by Scoular, was building its first freeze-dried ingredient manufacturing plant and needed a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool to manage complex operations, speed time-to-market, prioritize launches, secure early development projects, and improve customer satisfaction. After an RFP and demos, Petsource selected Lascom and its Lascom Lime Cloud Corporate PLM to provide a centralized, scalable solution for specification, NPD, recipe formulation, compliance, quality and supplier management.

Lascom configured and deployed Lascom Lime (hosted on Microsoft Azure) using a hybrid waterfall/agile approach with a no-customization policy, delivering the solution in about four months. The implementation created a single repository for product data, enforced project rigor through workflows and templates, improved cross-functional collaboration and traceability, and reduced data errors and rework — enabling faster, more reliable product launches and greater customer confidence thanks to Lascom’s PLM.
