The Direction Centrale du Matériel de l’Armée de Terre (DCMAT), the French Army Equipment Command, needed a modern system to manage the complete and updated technical documentation required for maintaining all of its land equipment. To replace an obsolete system and ensure the availability of accurate specifications, drawings, and bills of materials, DCMAT partnered with vendor Lascom and its Lascom ICS product data management solution.
Lascom implemented its Lascom ICS solution as the core of the new SEEDD project, which provided DCMAT with robust document and configuration management capabilities. The solution, deployed in partnership with Thales CIS, successfully replaced the outdated legacy system, migrated all historical data, and provided technical experts with a reliable and operational platform for managing specifications and facilitating digital data exchange across maintenance departments.
