The Direction Centrale du Matériel de l’Armée de Terre - Customer Case Study

The Direction Centrale du Matériel de l’Armée de l’Armée de Terre, responsible for technical availability and lifecycle maintenance of all army land equipment, needed a complete, versioned technical document reference system to support its Sections Techniques de Marque (STMs) in configuration monitoring, modification studies and maintenance operations. To meet this challenge the SEEDD project (managed by Thales Services) selected Lascom and its Lascom ICS product as the basis for the new technical data management solution.

Lascom implemented Lascom ICS to provide full document and configuration management, project/item/folder organization, update notifications, a manufacturer-spec automatic import tool, and electronic/paper output capabilities. The SEEDD project moved into production in early 2008, all data from the obsolete SEED EDM system was migrated to Lascom ICS, and STMs now have a fully overhauled, operational system that enables digital exchanges across maintenance departments and on-demand documentation delivery. Lascom’s solution therefore delivered a consolidated, up-to-date reference system and streamlined data import and distribution.
