Microturbo SA, a Safran group company and world leader in gas turbine design and manufacture, faced the challenge of managing long product lifecycles, numerous machine types and versions, and small, customer-tailored production runs. To achieve a single “version of the truth” and improve configuration, change and document management across the company, Microturbo selected Lascom and its Lascom ICS PLM solution.

Lascom implemented Lascom ICS to manage BOMs, create a secure electronic vault (now >130 GB), automate document approval workflows and interface with CAD and ERP systems, plus a “traceability book” for assembly configuration. The deployment now serves about 400 users (~75% of staff) and manages 150,000 files, 120,000 items and 1.3 million links, delivering robust configuration management, accurate technical data across the product lifecycle and measurable quality and traceability improvements thanks to Lascom.
