Trybe, a UK-based company providing cloud-based software for spas and hotels, faced challenges with their infrastructure on Laravel Vapor. Their slowest API endpoints took around five seconds, Lambda timeouts forced engineering workarounds, and the pay-per-request cost model became expensive with their 500 million monthly requests. They also needed medical-grade isolation for protected health data and a solution for their large, unmovable MongoDB database.

By migrating to Laravel Cloud, specifically the Laravel Private Cloud product, Trybe solved these issues. The vendor implemented three fully isolated environments, used VPC peering to connect to their existing MongoDB database, and executed a zero-downtime migration. This resulted in their slowest API response times being halved to 2.5 seconds and a 17% reduction in compute costs.
