Ghost, an open-source publishing platform, faced the challenge of building and managing a public directory of its users. With only one engineer available to work on the project, they needed a solution that would not require learning new third-party tools or managing complex infrastructure.

Using Laravel Cloud, Ghost built Ghost Explore, a Laravel application that automatically scans for and categorizes sites. This solution enabled a single engineer to manage the entire production infrastructure, which handles 14 million monthly requests across 50,000 sites, in under ten minutes per week. Laravel Cloud removed the need for DevOps management and allowed the engineer to focus solely on development.
