Island Sheet Metal Solutions, also known as ISM Solutions, is a subcontract design and manufacturing company serving aerospace, petrochemical, wind turbine and construction customers across the UK. It needed a better way to programme a mixed fleet of CNC sheet metal machines, including a Trumpf 5kw CO2 laser and a Strippit punch press, while also handling complex tube and box section work more efficiently.

The result was faster, more accurate production with less manual input, improved material utilisation through advanced nesting and offcut reuse, and shorter job turnaround times; the company also reported reduced wear on machine slats, lower maintenance, and the ability to manufacture more complex parts in one operation.
