Pegasus Profiles, a sheet and plate cutting and processing company with three sites in the UK, needed to replace multiple machine-specific CNC programming packages for its waterjet, laser, plasma and flame cutting equipment. The challenge was to simplify programming across diverse machines, improve flexibility for its three programmers, and reduce material waste on highly bespoke jobs.

Lantek implemented Lantek Expert CAM 2D with dedicated postprocessors for Pegasus Profiles’ machines, consolidating all programming into one system. The result was easier training and greater staff flexibility, stronger shop floor documentation, and more efficient nesting that helped achieve up to 80% material utilisation and significant savings on material costs, while supporting a 3-day lead time for most products.
