CabAuto, based in Tipton, West Midlands, manufactures seating and interior trim for automotive, rail, and marine applications. When it needed to bring laser cutting in house instead of subcontracting it, the company chose Lantek Expert CADCAM to help nest parts and generate CNC programs for its Bystronic laser.

Lantek Expert gave CabAuto automatic and manual nesting, offcut management, and streamlined programming workflows, helping optimize material use and speed production. The company says the software cuts programming time significantly, avoids the need for a full-time manual nesting role, and lets weekly programming for 10,000 to 15,000 parts be completed by early afternoon, with support and training described as excellent.
