The Diocese of Scranton Takes Control of its Remote IT Using LsAgent

The Diocese of Scranton, a religious non-profit serving hundreds of parishes, schools, and social service locations across northeastern Pennsylvania, needed a better way to manage a widely distributed IT environment. With assets spread across multiple disconnected domains, many remote users, and only basic tools and spreadsheets in place, the small IT team lacked the visibility needed for support, troubleshooting, and upgrade planning. Lansweeper, including its LsAgent component, was brought in to solve that visibility gap.

With Lansweeper, the Diocese of Scranton gained centralized visibility into more than 400 assets across 12 locations, including devices that rarely or never connected to the network. The team used Lansweeper and LsAgent to collect detailed asset data, monitor software and updates, receive alerts, and plan upgrades such as the move toward Windows 11. As a result, the Diocese improved support response times, gained stronger insight into its IT estate, and streamlined planning for replacements and upgrades.
