A Lansweeper Case Study
The International Air Transport Association (IATA), a Montreal‑headquartered non‑profit representing ~82% of scheduled global air traffic with 1,500 employees and more than 4,000 IT assets, needed to cut costs and reduce operational overhead after the pandemic severely impacted the airline industry. Seeking faster, more accurate IT asset management and complete visibility across its estate, IATA selected Lansweeper as its ITAM and SAM solution to quickly identify idle hardware, outdated software and manual-process inefficiencies.
Lansweeper was deployed rapidly and worked essentially out‑of‑the‑box, combining agentless and agent‑based scans to create a single source of truth for IATA’s +4,000 assets and integrating with helpdesk workflows. As a result, about 20 IT staff now have immediate, organization‑wide visibility, leading to faster remediation, higher IT productivity, streamlined audits and optimized software and asset management that have already reduced costs and operational overhead since the 2020 deployment.
