How Waterbury Public Schools scaled their 1:1 program using Lenovo + LanSchool’s bundle

Waterbury Public Schools needed a fast, budget-conscious way to support distance, hybrid, and 1:1 learning for 19,000 students, but the district lacked enough devices and classroom management tools. To meet those needs, the district turned to Lenovo devices and LanSchool classroom management software, taking advantage of Lenovo’s bundle that included a free year of LanSchool with qualifying devices.

Using the Lenovo + LanSchool bundle, Waterbury rolled out Lenovo Chromebooks, expanded classroom management to nearly 10,000 free LanSchool licenses across 14 schools, and later purchased 4,000 additional licenses for non-Lenovo devices. The result was simpler device management, stronger student engagement, improved safety and web filtering, and an estimated $20,000 saved in software licensing costs. Waterbury Public Schools said Lenovo and LanSchool helped them stay ready for virtual, hybrid, and in-person learning.
