SEDAS, a Turkish utility serving more than 3 million people across 4 regions, needed a fast, reliable smart metering rollout to improve billing, reduce losses, and support regulatory requirements. Landis+Gyr provided its Gridstream Converge solution, along with the W1000 web portal and integration support, to help modernize metering operations.

Landis+Gyr implemented an end-to-end metering-to-billing platform for SEDAS, including data collection, validation, aggregation, reporting, remote disconnect capabilities, and integration with other customer systems. The project was completed on an ambitious schedule, reached close to 99% data acquisition success, and was designed to scale to 21,000 meters, with about 13,000 meters already in operation after nine months.
