Building up the largest ICG meter data management system in Europe

ČEZ Group, one of the largest utility groups in Central and Southeastern Europe, needed a stable, scalable way to collect, validate, and process industrial and commercial metering data across multiple countries. Working with Landis+Gyr, the company set out to build a unified meter data management platform for its ICG metering operations in the Czech Republic, Romania, and Bulgaria.

Landis+Gyr implemented Gridstream Converge, including the MDM center, web portal, and messaging system, to support secure data transfer, validation, billing, and market communication. The solution now connects 46,000 metering points and is designed to handle 85,000 ICG meters and nearly 300,000 load profiles, while supporting online customer access and highly reliable operations through a fail-safe server architecture.
