Georgia Institute of Technology Creating Time for IT Innovation

Georgia Institute of Technology needed to support growing IT demands across campus with fewer resources, but budget constraints made manual provisioning, patching, and on-site support too time-consuming. The university turned to Landesk, using LANDESK Management Suite and LANDESK Patch Manager to automate much of its IT operations.

Landesk helped Georgia Tech automate imaging, software deployment, patch management, remote support, and inventory tracking. The results were significant: provisioning became 20 to 30 percent faster, patching time dropped from 30 days to four days, help desk calls saved 55 minutes on average by avoiding desk-side visits, and annual inventory work was reduced from three months to 16 days.
