Sharp HealthCare, a large integrated healthcare system in San Diego, needed a cost-effective way to deploy and manage software across 10,000 PCs spread across multiple hospitals and satellite offices. As it moved to a Microsoft-based environment, Sharp evaluated Microsoft SMS but found the required hardware investment too high, so it turned to Landesk and its LANDESK Management Suite, along with the Technical Account Manager (TAM) program.

Landesk implemented LANDESK Management Suite with targeted multicasting and dedicated TAM support to simplify software deployment and systems management. The result was a major hardware reduction, from 10 servers down to just two, plus faster issue resolution, improved staff knowledge, and the ability to handle twice as many trouble tickets per day through remote control; Landesk also helped Sharp improve software license compliance and avoid fines.
