The District of Columbia Government needed a cost-effective, scalable desktop management solution to unify nearly 100 agencies and improve control over inventory, security, and support. Landesk implemented LANDESK Management Suite across the District’s environment, enabling remote support, real-time inventory polling, and centralized helpdesk management. The results included closing about 85% of tickets remotely, faster patch deployment from weeks to two days, and snow-emergency staffing reduced from 32 people at 16 sites to 8 at one site, saving roughly $500,000 in the 2004 snow season.
