Woodhorn Museum creates 3 immersive projections with LamasaTech

LamasaTech partnered with Woodhorn Museum & Northumberland Archives to address the challenge of creating an accessible and engaging exhibition for the No2 Winding House, a historic colliery building. The space was previously a limited-access storage room, and the museum needed to educate its audience about the essential role of the winding wheel and the windermen who operated it.

The solution implemented by LamasaTech consisted of three unique projections using the latest AV technology. These included an animated visualization of a mine shaft, a filmed interview with ex-windermen, and a storytelling timeline using archived media. The result was a highly immersive and educational exhibition that brought the historical site to life with authentic visuals and soundscapes, successfully transforming the space for visitors.
