LamasaTech was engaged by Sunderland University to deliver a self-service solution that let students and staff access documents and information across multiple campuses without visiting a manned reception. The brief required a realistic, robust system able to cope with high footfall and reduce man hours while keeping information up to date.
LamasaTech installed anti-vandal, fully secure 24/7 interactive touch-screen kiosks (with barcode scanners, energy-saving sleep modes and remote reboot/control) that streamlined document access and reduced staffing needs. Launched in 2010, the kiosks earned positive feedback for quality, durability and cost-effectiveness, delivering improved user experience and longevity.
