A Lakeside Software Case Study
The Queensland Government DSITI was experiencing poor performance and instability with its Citrix virtual desktop platform, which was negatively impacting its regional staff. Following a number of changes in their ICT environment and a shift to SaaS applications, internal troubleshooting became difficult. To address these challenges, DSITI engaged Lakeside Software and utilized their SysTrack solution to perform a comprehensive health assessment of the platform.
Lakeside Software's SysTrack was deployed to gather data, troubleshoot the issues, and measure the success of subsequent remediation efforts. Working with a partner, DSITI implemented changes that resolved underlying virtual machine performance problems. The solution resulted in the virtual desktop performance meeting and at times exceeding that of physical desktops, which was confirmed by dramatically improved user feedback and quantifiable Service Quality metrics. Lakeside Software's tool provided the ongoing monitoring needed to maintain the new performance baseline.
