Case Study: Avenue Bank achieves cloud security visibility and compliance with Lacework

A Lacework Case Study

Preview of the Avenue Bank Case Study

Avenue Bank builds a business and a security discipline from the ground up

Avenue Bank, a digital business bank in Australia, needed to build a secure cloud-native platform from the ground up while gaining full visibility across its AWS environment and preparing for SOC 2 and APRA compliance. The team also wanted to shift security left so issues could be found and fixed earlier in the development process. Lacework was selected to help meet these goals, with a focus on cloud visibility, anomaly detection, vulnerability monitoring, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security.

With Lacework, Avenue Bank was able to get up and running in under an hour and quickly start receiving actionable alerts, including targeted anomaly notifications instead of overwhelming alert noise. The platform helped the bank identify and fix issues before deployment, improve visibility across containers and hosts, and support compliance efforts for auditors and regulators. According to Avenue Bank, Lacework reduced blind spots, saved time on remediation, and replaced the need for multiple tools and additional security staff.
