Survival of the Fittest: Implementing a LIMS Helps Laboratory Meet Customer Demand

University of Guelph’s Laboratory Services, a network of 30 specialized labs handling agricultural and food testing, was struggling with rapidly growing sample volumes and fragmented legacy systems (manual log books, spreadsheets and standalone databases). To standardize processes and meet rising customer demand, the University of Guelph selected LabVantage Solutions and its LABVANTAGE LIMS.

LabVantage Solutions implemented LABVANTAGE with a dedicated six‑month project team, consolidating disparate systems, replacing lab books and reducing 25 reports to five and 20 submission forms to three, and the system went live two weeks ahead of schedule.
