OMV, Austria’s largest integrated oil and gas company, needed to harmonize laboratory operations and data management after acquiring Petrom’s labs, standardizing fluid analyses across Austrian and Romanian sites. To address this, OMV put out a request for LIMS vendors and selected LabVantage Solutions, attracted by LabVantage Solutions' browser-based LIMS, multi-language support and ability to integrate with existing systems.

LabVantage Solutions delivered a centralized, browser-based LIMS—core system built in December 2011, tested and data-migrated in early 2012, with interfaces and reports implemented and the system going live on July 16, under 11 months from project start. The LabVantage Solutions deployment migrated legacy data, enabled 24/7 access from any PC, and is now used in both Austrian and Romanian labs, improving analysis efficiency and the quality of reporting and data analysis.

OMV
