Novozymes Saves Time and Money with Managed Services

Novozymes, the Denmark‑based global biotechnology company that makes enzymes and microorganisms for detergents, food and other industries, relied on a complex, integrated LabVantage LIMS deployment (interfaced to SAP and six other MRP systems) with nearly 400 users across Denmark, Brazil, China, the U.S., and India. When recurring incidents arose it was often unclear which supplier should resolve them, so Novozymes asked LabVantage Solutions to take full ownership through a Managed Services contract.

LabVantage Solutions implemented Managed Services in early 2014, providing full lifecycle application management — proactive monitoring, 24/7 support, a dedicated team, installations, validation, bug fixes and upgrades — and a single point of contact for all technical issues. As a result Novozymes reports a dramatic reduction in time spent resolving issues, fewer incidents due to proactive monitoring, savings from reducing vendor overlap, and a smoother path to cloud deployment and a planned LabVantage LIMS v8 upgrade as part of the service.
