Wenatchee Valley College engages 75+ biology students per semester with Labster

Wenatchee Valley College, a community college, needed to engage its online biology students and provide them with a virtual lab experience that would develop critical thinking and improve collegiate study skills. Adjunct Instructor Kyle Hammon sought a digital tool to replace outdated technologies and simplify course planning for his asynchronous courses.

Labster provided its virtual lab simulations, which use gamification to engage digital-native students. The solution allowed for trial-and-error learning, leading to greater student confidence and knowledge retention. Students reported the simulations were useful, fun, and engaging. Labster also helped dual-enrollment high school students in the Running Start program quickly adopt collegiate study habits.
