A Labster Case Study
The University of Turku needed a way to provide interactive, remote lab work for students during the pandemic and later to supplement its limited resources for expensive in-person wet labs. The staff at the Turku Institute of Biomedicine sought an alternative to standard video calls and reading materials that would effectively activate students in the learning process.
The university adopted Labster's virtual lab simulations, including Nuclear Chemistry and ELISA, to prepare students for physical lab work. Using Labster allowed every student to practice experiments without fear of making mistakes or wasting expensive materials. The result was that students felt significantly more prepared and engaged, finding the old methods of learning less effective. Labster successfully bridged the gap between theory and practice, creating a more effective and accessible learning environment.
