University of Szeged brings practical immunology to 100+ medical students with Labster

The Immunology Department at the University of Szeged faced a significant challenge: lacking any dedicated lab space for over 100 medical students, which prevented them from teaching the practical components of their curriculum. To solve this problem, the university implemented virtual lab simulations from the vendor Labster.

By adopting Labster's virtual labs, the department provided students with a flexible and practical way to learn complex immunology concepts. The solution increased student engagement, as the short, 20-40 minute simulations were ideal for students who already spent 12 hours a day in lectures. Additionally, using Labster in the students' native German language ensured equitable access and saved instructors significant preparation time compared to managing a physical lab.
