A Labster Case Study
The University of Copenhagen faced a challenge in its Medical Genetics course, as students needed exposure to an advanced and expensive lab technique that was impossible to conduct in a physical setting. Anne Nerremark, a lecturer, sought an innovative teaching solution and turned to Labster for its virtual lab simulations to bridge this experiential gap.
Labster implemented its virtual lab simulations, which were specifically co-developed to incorporate detailed case stories and collaborative elements. The solution allowed students to work together, discuss complex quiz questions, and virtually perform the lab analyses, bringing the medical cases to life. The results included highly positive student engagement, a deeper understanding of the link between medical problems and lab techniques, and effective preparation for future professional tasks like diagnosing patients and interpreting lab results.
