A Labster Case Study
The graduate program in Health Biotechnology at Universidad Pablo de Olavide faced a challenge with its online, theory-focused trimester. The curriculum, which relied on reading research papers and writing essays, was tedious for students. The program needed a more engaging learning tool that could also help level the knowledge of students arriving with diverse academic backgrounds. They turned to Labster's virtual lab simulations to address this.
Labster provided a solution that replaced traditional lectures, offering an interactive, learn-by-doing methodology. The implementation was a significant success, with over 90% of students reporting high satisfaction with the simulations. Furthermore, 100% of the participating professors responded positively, leading to the program's continued use of Labster across seven subject areas. The platform's integrated quizzes and theory sections helped students grasp complex concepts, while the teacher dashboard provided valuable data to identify and assist students who were struggling.
