Northumbria University boosts A&P learning for 18 months with Labster Virtual Labs

Northumbria University sought new ways to engage its Anatomy and Physiology students and provide more means to interact with course content. Lecturer Dr. Stuart Goodall was looking for a supplementary resource to enhance his teaching across sports science modules.

The university implemented Labster's virtual lab simulations as a supplement to classroom and lab learning. Labster served as an interactive homework tool that reinforced lecture material and provided access to new topics like animal science. As a result, students became active participants in their learning, utilizing the simulations to write lab reports and prepare for wet labs. Dr. Goodall reported that the visual and digestible nature of Labster's platform accommodated different learning styles, aiding in retention and providing a valuable additional way to learn complex physiological principles.
