Meharry Medical College integrates Labster into curriculum for 1,100 nursing students

Meharry Medical College, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), sought to improve student engagement and information retention, particularly for its Physician Assistant program students in a remote learning environment. The challenge was to find an innovative and user-friendly tool to help students efficiently meet anatomy and physiology prerequisites. To address this, the college turned to the vendor Labster and its virtual labs.

Labster provided a solution by integrating its interactive anatomy and physiology labs into the curriculum. This allowed students without prior wet lab experience to meet program prerequisites in an accessible, digital format. The implementation reduced traditional stressors for students and enabled more interactive learning. While specific metrics were not provided for this program, the college found the platform to be an efficient and engaging way to reinforce concepts and prepare students for their future careers in medicine.
