Face-to-Face Teaching with Labster Looking Forward to Going Back after COVID

Arizona College of Nursing, a private college with multiple campuses, partnered with Labster to navigate the challenge of transitioning back to a blended and face-to-face teaching model following the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic. The college sought an effective virtual alternative to wet labs that could support active learning for its students.

Labster provided its virtual lab simulations, which the college implemented across its curriculum. The solution was used by 8,400 students and included 45 different simulations, such as those focusing on nutrition, immunology, and cardiovascular function. Labster enabled faculty to shift from lecturing to a guide-and-mentor approach, while the simulations successfully engaged students and prompted critical thinking. The college was so satisfied with the results that it incorporated the virtual labs into all lab courses and even expanded their use into non-lab concept courses like Nutrition.
