A Labster Case Study
Sapienza University of Rome faced the challenge of providing hands-on laboratory training to its bioinformatics students, a need that became critical during the COVID-19 pandemic when physical access to wet labs was severely limited. A professor turned to Labster's Molecular Biology simulations to bridge this gap for the 42 students in the course.
The solution implemented by Labster provided a virtual lab environment that overcame physical constraints. This allowed all students to perform experiments simultaneously and gain an understanding of experimental data production. The professor used the simulations for extra credit, and all students who completed them satisfactorily received a bonus on their exam. Labster was praised for its engaging, well-presented simulations and was seen as a long-term solution to expand student capacity in lab-intensive courses even beyond the pandemic.
