A&P students at Northumbria become active learners with Labster Virtual Labs

The University of Northumbria sought new methods to engage its sports science students in their Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) courses. Lecturer Dr. Stuart Goodall needed to provide additional, active ways for eager learners to interact with the content beyond the limited options available, finding that traditional webinars led to passive consumption. The university turned to Labster's virtual lab simulations to address this challenge.

Labster provided a solution as a supplementary and interactive homework tool, reinforcing classroom learning with simulations like Experimental Design and Exercise Physiology. The results allowed students to write better lab reports, prepare for physical labs, and access new topics like animal science. Labster enabled active participation, which students found to be a digestible and effective reinforcement of lecture material from a different angle.
