An A&P Educator’s Journey with Technology

Professor Margaret Brady, an Associate Professor at North Dakota State College of Science, was a self-proclaimed anti-technology educator who needed a solution for teaching anatomy and physiology labs during the pandemic. The challenge was to find a virtual tool that could effectively prep students for their hands-on wet lab experiences without compromising her traditional teaching values.

The solution was implementing Labster's virtual lab simulations. Using Labster as a pre-lab exercise, students were significantly better prepared. Professor Brady reported that after using Labster, her students completed a blood typing lab in 30 minutes with no questions and passed the following quiz with flying colors, demonstrating the measurable impact of the tool. The North Dakota University system subsequently chose Labster over three other virtual lab tools for all 11 of its institutions.
