A Labstep Case Study
LiquiGlide, an MIT spin-out based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, develops durable slippery coatings and was rapidly scaling its manufacturing and QC processes. Facing high costs to assemble a fully CFR Part 11–compliant digital system, the company was still producing up to 39 manual QC reports per week that had to be printed and signed twice, relying on inadequate internal spreadsheets for traceability. Labstep was engaged to address these challenges.
Labstep provided a cost-efficient, benchside, Part 11–compliant digital platform with electronic signature capabilities, enabling LiquiGlide to track QC execution and assemble batch data packages for COA and COC generation. The Labstep implementation improved data traceability, cut the time wasted on manual report verification, reduced costs, simplified team-wide adoption, and supported company expansion through a more efficient QC process.
