A LabArchives Case Study
Monash University's Zaph Lab, which researches epigenetics and the immune system, faced the challenge of managing highly detailed experimental data with a paper notebook system. This method risked data loss over time and created significant difficulty when the team needed to assemble complex data for publication. The lab adopted LabArchives as its electronic lab notebook (ELN) to centralize and secure its research data.
The solution implemented by LabArchives provided a central, digital point of reference for the entire lab. Researchers used it to record all experiments, store protocols, and manage an inventory, ensuring no data was lost and that everything was accessible for publication. The use of LabArchives made assembling data for complex papers significantly easier, contributing to the lab's success in publishing four scientific papers, including one in *Nature Communications*.
