A LabArchives Case Study
Imperial College London's Centre for Rapid Online Analysis of Reactions (ROAR) faced the challenge of efficiently organizing and archiving the vast amounts of data generated by their high-throughput chemical experiments. They sought an electronic lab notebook (ELN) to improve data management and facilitate collaboration among their researchers.
The university chose the LabArchives ELN for its college-wide applicability, low cost, and ease of use without installed software. The solution proved critical during the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling a split team to coordinate experiments and conduct virtual sign-offs remotely. LabArchives provided standardized templates for planning and risk assessment, improving organization and collaboration. The implementation was a success, growing from 40 to approximately 400 users campus-wide.
