Waveform brings StingWave to production with LA NPDT and 76% hydraulic efficiency
Waveform, a company based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, had a patented concept for a battery-powered pool leaf vacuum but needed to turn it into a product that could be manufactured reliably. Their challenge was to engineer the hydraulics for high efficiency and prepare the design for ISO 9001 production and UL certification, a task they entrusted to vendor LA NPDT.
LA NPDT provided comprehensive design for manufacturing services, using CFD simulation to optimize the product's hydraulics to 76% efficiency, a significant improvement over the typical sub-50% rate for comparable devices. They built functional prototypes, delivered a full production-ready engineering package, and supported the client through tooling and certification. As a result, the StingWave vacuum is now successfully manufactured and assembled at Waveform's own ISO 9001-certified facility in the USA.
