A LA NPDT Case Study
GoNutz, a personal grooming brand founded by Landon McKinnis, faced the challenge of developing a completely new, waterproof electric razor designed for sensitive skin. Their goal was to create a safe, ergonomic body groomer that could be used in the shower, hold a long charge, and include a self-cleaning dock. They partnered with the vendor LA NPDT for comprehensive product development services to bring this concept to life.
LA NPDT engineered the entire solution, including the ergonomic design, waterproof sealing, internal foil blade system, rechargeable battery, and self-cleaning dock. They developed functional prototypes and provided patent support. The result was a patented, production-ready product that successfully landed a deal with Mark Cuban and Daymond John on Shark Tank for $120,000. The GoNutz groomer is now in production and retailing nationally.
