MonthlyBuzz.com, a leading online social service for young adults (founded 1996) that delivers free email newsletters and event listings, faced rapidly growing newsletter demand after subscriptions exceeded 10,000. Unable to devote internal resources to manage large lists and bounce handling, MonthlyBuzz.com evaluated vendors and selected L-Soft’s EASE™ email list hosting service, which uses L-Soft’s LISTSERV software to provide the scalability, reliability and security they required.
L-Soft implemented EASE hosting with LISTSERV for MonthlyBuzz.com’s newsletters, and now runs three regional lists (Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Delaware beach) totaling approximately 50,000 subscriptions. The L-Soft solution reduced internal management overhead, handled bounce processing and protected subscriber data, enabling MonthlyBuzz.com to expand into new markets (Philadelphia and Boston) and consider licensing LISTSERV for in-house use.
